Submission Guidelines
2067 Journal publishes essays on politics, philosophy, art, history, public policy, music, education, folklore, urbanism, nature writing, culture, sport, myth, and imagination. We are a journal of Canadiana in the fullest sense of the word.
We publish diverse perspectives and do not adhere to any ideological programme. Contributors need not agree with one another, and we actively seek out new debates and new cleavages that better reflect the tensions and complexities of this Canada. We explicitly eschew the conventional labels of left and right, which we believe distort more than they clarify.
We do not impose a strict word limit, but prospective contributors should know that we are an essay journal. We are looking for considered, substantive writing rather than commentary pegged to the news cycle. If you are unsure whether your piece is a fit, we encourage you to reach out.
